I have actually found the time to do some sewing projects these last few weeks but as for taking photos and writing about them...not so much.
Recently, our lives turned upside down. Without going into the whys and wherefores, my husband and I are going to be moving from our home of 5 1/2 years...but more importantly our church home of 5 1/2 years. It was a heart breaking decision but one that we know is right. We move in 2 1/2 weeks...and I have to admit that I don't have one complete box packed yet.
Stressed yet??
I had one child sick 2 days ago and today another seems to have the same bug. I go from crying baby to whiny child...then whiny child to crying baby. For now, I'm just trying to keep the littles fed, clean, and changed. I have had offers from some wonderful people from our church to help with packing and child watching...so I think I'm gonna have to take them up on the offer! (well, once I have all healthy children!) So, I'll be popping in every now and then over the next two months...
Care to see WHERE we're moving?? I'm calling it my own little slice of Heaven for now. Eventually I will have to come up with a name for it.
See the barn and the little house beside it? That's my sister's property...
The backyard is wonderful!! The left side is lined with tall trees and the right side buts up to a small river/creek depending on the season. In the spring time, you can actually canoe from the local state park down to our house! Anybody got a canoe for sale??
Ahhh...the creek bank. It's overgrown in weeds right now but next summer we should have a good bit of that cleared out.
and our little house. It definitely needs some tlc (the previous people did not leave it...well, clean.) but it is well on the road to being complete. I'll post some after pictures another time.
Unlike last year at the end of the summer when my posts slowed way down...I am NOT pregnant. I think 4 is our magic number :)

I don't know if you remember me saying that Shirley used to call this house and property her little slice of heaven...? She would be so happy to know someone was moving in that could see the potential the place has, like she did so many years ago.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful little slice of heaven! I am envious. :) What a great place to raise your children and keep on crafting. Good luck with your move and poor sick kiddos!
